The excellent folks over at the prolific Warhammer Online fan site, Warhammer Alliance, have put together a great gameplay trailer.

The trailer consists entirely of gameplay footage captured from the beta, showing off the vast locales present in the game and the explosive skirmishes that you can look forward to when the game goes live on September 7th, 2008.

Yesterday we brought you the preview of the long awaited second Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning cinematic trailer. Today, we have for you the full trailer in all its glory. The trailer is in English this time, is in better quality, and contains a good two minutes or so of extra brutal action footage. Unfortunately, we don't get to see how the ending situation resolves, but I'm sure we can all figure that one out for ourselves.

It has been a long time coming, but just as Mark Jacob's promised on the Warhammer Alliance forums, the NDA would be lifted today. In an update to the WAR Herald on the official Warhammer Online website, the NDA has been officially dropped and the flood gates are now open.

Another preview of the cinematic trailer to be unveiled at Games Convention is now available. Before you pluck your hair out, it's not one of the recent 2-5 second teasers. This one is quite a doozy and will really get you salivating for the full version!

One caveat: the trailer is entirely in French, not that you're watching for the dialogue, right? Right?

As we previously announced today, Open Beta begins September 7th; but that's not stopping EA Mythic from letting you grab the client well ahead of time.

Details on the Open Beta program are now available along with information on how to download the client. Current CLOSED BETA testers are NOT required to download the new client. The download is being offered by FilePlanet.

In this week's "RoleCraft," Jim Moreno continues his look at character alignment in MMORPGs - this time focusing on how in-game factions make characters "evil" (or not).

In a press release issued today, Mythic Entertainment has announced the Open Beta for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will begin on September 7th, 2008.

"For three years we have been saying that 'WAR is coming' and the team has been working hard to deliver on this promise," said Mark Jacobs, co-founder and general manager of Mythic Entertainment. "In just a few weeks, we are going to throw open our doors and invite more players into the game than ever before. They will have a chance to delve into the open beta and see for themselves that WAR has arrived and it is glorious!"
