Lol, I think also there is a BIG difference between "posting" and "contributing". 90% of what's posted on the forums here is nonsense and non-constructive. There is some very good info here, but you have to wade through the 20 posts above this to get to it. I realize this off-topic posts is ironic in that it also contributes to the nonsense, but it had to be said. Keep posts on topic and no one cares what your dog just ate.

Statistically, this is the longest shot contest we've run. It had the most entries for the least number of prizes, so it is a tough one.

I'm guessing the people that won keys are playing WAR? Damn! I really was hoping to win one. I just wish I knew if the keys even went out so I can stop the constant checking of email! lol

I'll have to agree with Bleyzwum, ok if I don't win, can't do that all the time, but would be nice to know if the keys has gone out so we can stop the wishfull thinking every single time you check the mail and so we can stop checking the mailbox so often :)

Wow. You didn't read a thing did you? MYTHIC is the one who is responsible for notifying the winners. WarCry just gave them the list of names/emails, that's where their responsibility in this matter ends. Also, these beta keys are NOT instant access to beta. They are a code to put into the promotional spot in your Beta Center, which would flag your account, which means you are guarunteed to get into beta at some point before release, and probably before they start bringing in lots of people who haven't won any contests or done anything else to guaruntee their entry into beta.

They mabye notified you back that they have / or when they will send out the beta keys, so you can tell us that, as the ones getting the keys will be under NDA. I know mythic is doing the beta key part etc and that you just mailed them the names / emails. But hey, it was just a though.

That was mostly directed towards TExz, since he's the one complaining so damn much. I'm almost positive that you're allowed to tell people that you're in the beta withou violating the NDA.

Mythic seems to be very secretive about things involving getting into beta, they never give a specific date or time period when they say that invites are going out, it's always "soon" or "in the next few days", so I wouldn't be suprised if WarCry has no idea when Mythic plans to notify the winners, or if they have.

Man I cant wait until feb when this game comes out. Really hope I get a key before then though. Id like to test it before I blow 50 bucks on it. Sadly im one of the poor sob's who bought vanguard when it came out. Taught me to wait at least a month before buying a new product.

Yeah, I knew that Mythic was responsible from lepidus' post. I just wish I knew if the beta keys (or whatever) went out. Oh well, I'm just gonna figure I didn't win...

That's how Mythic handles these things, they leave the option to announce if you've won up to yourself, save for the winners for the newsletter thing.

just got the new newsletter that announced different winners. And an added contest inside to look at a picture and give a caption for it. Did my best to think up something but I still have no idea wth the dwarf was doing. wouldn't enlarge by clicking on it either so had to save it to paint and blow up the picture.

I'm pretty excited about the Feb release of WAR! I just hope it doesn't get pushed back much at all. I've been done with WoW for a while now, and have been eagerly awaiting a game that does PvP well. I've played a lot of DAoC in my time and I think EA Mythic knows how to do PvP pretty well, and with the destructable buildings and getting XP for killing other players - I won't be killing quite so many boars anymore. Seriously, why would I care if some random goblin has enough boar molars to make a necklace for his girlfriend in another city? It'll be interesting trying to grind XP from other players. :-)
