We are a guild whose core will be comprised of myself, my brother, and some friends I've played with in various other games. Our primary goal is to establish ourselves as a powerful force in PvP/RvR quickly, and after getting to 40 to dominate all facets of end-game RvR. I want people to see our guild tag/banner/emblem/whatever and say "Oh S*!#, we're in trouble".

I don't plan on having open recruitment. Ever. There are a few people who will get into the guild regardless, and they probably know who they are. Everyone else will go through a rather lengthy process, which will consist of a lot of RvR with myself and/or Officers (atm I don't plan on giving the ability to invite members to the guild to anyone but the GM/Officers). I'm very much a quality > quantity person, so you'll have to prove your worth on the battlefield. There will be no solid restrictions on classes, but naturally classes we have many of will have a harder time getting in.

Meh, I was tired. Same difference. :P I actually really like Gadarene (or Legion) for the guild name, which you suggested in the other recruitment thread, it would give us a cool motto/tagline thing. Praagmatic isn't too bad either.

You two fall in that garunteed entry part. ;D

If we don't end up using it as the guild name I'll probably take it as my characters name. Just beat out the rough idea with him for the name and I'll pass it along to my people for the guild site.

My brother probably won't care at all which one we pick, but I wanna see what he likes anyways, maybe ask some of our friends too. I'm big on Artillery, atm that would be my vote for the guild name.

We have two possibilities:
1. We'll use the second Napoleon
2. We'll use all of them

Hopefully we can figure out how to get it on an image cycle and they'll just cycle through on page reload.

image cycles are fairly easy to make.

Yup I believe so as well. Chi got to see the rough design today. I personally think it eats face! I'm not sure exactly how he does his pages but I bet we can get it in. I think it's like onPageLoad function or something. I have it in a book somewhere. =p

One of the biggest headaches in any MMO for me is finding a rock-solid guild that I can commit to - and I think you have just shown me one. Artillery is an awesome name!

also: i gamed with chi in WOW, was a good time -- couldnt think a better person to be in a guild with.

We'll I believe I've been here since June I believe and am impressed by everyone in the forum. I guess we have three options.

1. Use the quality people we know and are familiar with in the warcry forum
2. Use random nubs/asses in game
3. Migrate with a guild from a another game.

Well I dont have any quality guilds in WoW so I don't care about that and I despise random n00bs. So this is what I was looking for =p

I vote we just start up with whoever from WarCry wants in and the few people we've played with before. Until we are a decent size, my expectations will be set relatively high, since I want to get the most skilled players we can. After we're efficiently kicking arse, I'll lower the applications to only needing a guildie to vouche for them. I'd like us to avoid becomming a zerg guild as much as I can.

Well if I can get my good friend addicted to Warhammer I'll insist we let him in. He's no n00b though =p. Then my little brother (17) will probably want in. Hes a big WoW nerd and has two 70s / 59 twink / several other higher level characters. His main a 70 pally gets raid guild invites every other day =p Though he still hasn't quit my guild yet.

Oh and before I forget again everyone with CSS, TF2, and will be playing WAR add me to xfire, account name bubbyrw I believe. Might as well get that knocked out.

I've got a really good friend who would love to play - he's actually the guy who introduced me to the tabletop games!

I introduced him to WoW, we owned in PvP, and we both quit the game at the same time to get ready for WAR. Going for the 'cleansed of other MMO's' before WAR comes out angle.

If everyone would be cool with him, I can promise you he'll find himself a badass character class, and proceed to own face with it.

Meanwhile, I'll be standing behind him, throwing out some badass spell-slinging most likely, or, I'll be right beside him clad in the most awesome armor I can find/kill someone for, and be owning face too!

Sounds like a pretty good idea. If a guild member vouches for someone I think they should automatically be let in on a trial basis. I mean, I trust you guys not to suck and I think you all can trust me as well. I believe everyone will take full responsibility for those they let in the guild to not suck and coach/hurt them till they're better if it comes down to it.

Also: So how are we going to do this guild? I understand Chi and I (and his brother?) will be rolling Chaos. Are the rest of you planning to follow suit? Or will you start in other races and trek to the Chaos starting zone?

I'm rolling a greenskin of some sort.
